Murshida Amat-un-Nur is the regional head of Inayatiyya South Asia and the national representative for Pakistan. She has been serving this Path for the last twenty years. She holds a Masters (Hons) in Comparative Philosophy and Islamic and Western Mysticism. To this is added her thirty or so years of personal study and research in the field of Sufism and Islam.
For many years she has been a presenter at international Sufi symposia and continues to offer regular classes, lectures and seminars on themes of Universal Spirituality, Tasawwuf, Islam and Esoteric Symbolism. Her passion is to inspire people towards finding their wholeness and living their full human potential through the retrieval of the Sacred Feminine in order to balance the Sacred Masculine. She has published a book of her compiled writings titled, The Door of Peace available online at amazon.
Fernando Mora, born in Andalusia, Spain, studied philosophy and is a translator and writer. For decades he has been interested in different spiritual traditions such as yoga and Buddhism. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to the study of Islam and, in particular, its mystical aspect, Sufism. He is the author of The Teachings of Padmasambhava and Tibetan Buddhism (Kairós, 1998), Ibn ʿArabī: Life and Teachings of the Great Andalusian Mystic (Kairós, 2011), The Perfume of Existence: Sufism and Non-Duality in Ibn ʿArabī de Murcia (Almuzara, 2019), No Man's Land: Foundation, Method and Result of Contemplative Paths (Ediciones Matrioska, 2020). He is also a regular contributor to the magazine "El Azufre Rojo" of the University of Murcia, specialized in studies on Ibn ʿArabī.
Alejandro Massa Varela: is a poet, essayist and playwright, as well as bachelor in History from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM. His works include the book El ser creado (The Created Being) or Exercises on Mysticism and Hedonism (Plaza y Valdés), with a prologue by the philosopher Mauricio Beuchot; the collection of poems El aroma del dardo (The Aroma of the Dart) or Poems for a Fantasy Shunga (Camelot Editions) and the plays “Bastedad (Vastness) or Who Came to Devour Jacob?”, 2015, and “El cuerpo del Sol (The Body of the Sun) or Dialogue to Fall in Love with Hell, 2018”. His poetry has been recognized with several awards in Mexico, Spain, Uruguay and Finland. He is closely acquainted with different religious communities in Mexico City and the center of the country.
Shaykha Fariha Fatima al Jerrahi: Head of the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order.
Shaykha Fariha is the spiritual guide of the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order in New York City. She was born in 1947 into a socially committed, eclectic Catholic family in Houston, Texas. At the age of 29, she met her teacher, Shaykh Muzaffer Ozak of Istanbul, and received direct transmission from him in 1980. Shaykh Muzaffer also gave direct transmission to Lex Hixon (Shaykh Nur al-Jerrahi), who envisioned a radical and illumined path of the heart which he called Universal Islam. After Shaykh Nur's death, Fariha took on the guidance of the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order, with circles around the world. This lineage offers the nectar of teachings of the Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon him, which guide the seeker to self-knowledge and immersion in God. The sacred practices of zikr, prayer, charitable living, fasting and retreat are all embraced. Every Thursday, Fariha with her husband Ali and the dervishes invite all seekers into the circle of zikr at the Dergah al-Farah in NYC.
Shaykha Amina Teslima al Jerrahi: Shaykha Amina is the head minister of the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order in Iberoamérica. Ministering in the Masjid Maryam an Nur (Mezquita María de la Luz) in the center of Mexico City, founded by Shaykh Nur Al Anwar Al Malik al Jerrahi in 1987. She has practiced the Sufi path for the past 40 years under the guidance of various masters of the Halveti Jerrahi Order, based in Istanbul, Turkey. In 1995 received the formal permission in Istanbul to transmit the light of this spiritual lineage as an official representative of the Tariqah and head of Dervish Communities.
